The Sanivedana Piyasa, which is established and maintained next to the public library on the lower floor of the Kekanadura Pradeshiya Sabha head office building, was started in the year 2021.

The Yakduwa Waste Management Center established in 2009 by the Matara Regional Council is located at Navimana South, Matara. Garbage collection is done covering 17 divisions of the jurisdiction.
Digested waste is collected five days a week and non-digestible waste is collected one or two days a week.
2-3 tons of biodegradable waste is collected daily. It produces 3-4 tons of compost every month. Yakduwa Yakduwa Garbage Management Center currently employs 09 employees and the places where fertilizer can be purchased are from local council offices and Yakduwa Garbage Yard in 5Kg, 25Kg, and 50Kg sizes. It can be purchased.
The Talpawila Mahinda Wijesekera Computer Training Center has been running very successfully since 2006 with the full support of the Matara Regional Council. 19 groups have successfully completed their courses by providing subject services to the students of the area.
The following courses will be implemented for the school leavers/job seekers/employed and exam appearing students.

For the betterment of the local people, the Navimana Makavita Public Library was established in 1988 at Kumbalgama, Raja Mawatha, Wehelgoda by the Matara Regional Council. The number of library members is 1261 and the library has more than 7500 books. There are four sections as Division, Investigative Division, Newspaper Division. All groups of children and adults in the area are working in connection with the library.
Kekanadura Minipura Preschool is located near J.J. Mills Garment on Kekanadura Weherahena Road operated by Matara Pradeshiya Sabha and more than 65 children are educated and provides great service for preschool students in the area.
Swarna Pura Pre-School operated by Matara Regional Council is located 150 meters away from the main road of Talpawila Swarnapura land facing Nakuttiya Road and more than 35 children are studying and providing a great service for the pre-school students of the area.
The Godagama Sigiti Pre-School operated by the Matara Regional Council is located 200 meters down the road near the Godagama Public Library. At present, more than 40 children are being educated and providing a great service for preschool students in the area.
The Kekanadura Crematorium was established on 07.06.1999 by the Matara Regional Council on 07.06.1999, passing Kekanadura town on the Matara main road and 200 meters towards Yatyana.
For a cremation purposes, the crematorium can be booked seven days a week and at 10:00 p.m. 2:00 p.m. 4:00, and 1:00 p.m. 6.00 daily allocation for cremation.

Crematorium fees are charged at Rs.8,000.00 within the council area and Rs.10,000.00 outside the council area.

In order to improve the comfort of the people of the area, the Matara Regional Council has established the Kanattagoda Crematorium in front of the Praja Mandir on the Galle-Matara main road on 27.05.2020.

The new air-conditioned auditorium with 200 comfortable seats on the upper floor of the Kekanadura head office building is now open in the year 2021.
